Sub-projects dashboard item allows you to visualize issue distribution on project hierarchy level. You can customize which part of project hierarchy you want to display and which JQL results you want to see. Clicking on any issue count opens "Issue Navigator" to show actual issues. Using this gadget you can create high level combined project status reports for related projects.

Configuring Subproject Dashboard Item

There are two different parts of the dashboard. One is the configuration part. You can check the checkboxes like Show Lead Info that you want to see in the view section. You can also add and adjust the JQLs you want to write as you wish.

If you click the issue count of showed project you navigate to the issues page and you can see all issues of that project.
