Click on export button to export subproject hierarchy to JSON file. You can import this JSON file to another JIRA instance or to the same Jira instance.
This guide outlines the step-by-step process of exporting subprojects from one site and importing them into another site. During the import process, key comparisons are performed, and color codings are employed to highlight special conditions.
Unexisted Projects:
The project is not updated or created in any way. If the project in the data to be imported does not exist in the site to be imported, it is automatically removed from the hierarchy and shown as such in the dialog. The user who wants that project to be imported must manually create that project on that site. (The keys of the projects must be the same). Projects that are in the data but not on that site are shown as a warning at the top of the dialog.
User and Lead Operations
Missing Users:
If the lead of the component in the imported data cannot be found among the users in the Jira site, no lead is created. The project’s lead remains same.
Color Coding
Blue Color: Indicates missing datas.
Yellow Color: Highlights differences.
Black Color: Denotes identical items or entities not present in the import file.
This guide provides detailed instructions for comparisons among projects, project folders. The color codings aim to offer users an easy understanding of the processes involved.
