Relationship Between Component Versions and JIRA Versions

The plugin seamlessly integrates with JIRA's native versioning system and does not generate a separate version field. It facilitates the association of multiple components with a single JIRA version. For example, it allows both the Android and iOS components to be linked to version 1.0. When viewing the 'Version Tab' in JIRA, version 1.0 will be listed as a single entry.

In order to create distinct version identifiers, suffixes can be appended, such as '1.0-android' and '1.0-iOS'. This allows the Android component to be associated with version '1.0-android', while the iOS component can be linked to '1.0-iOS', enhancing the clarity of the relationship between versions and their respective components. Moreover, this clarity remains even after uninstalling the add-on, enabling the ongoing identification of version-component associations.
