Bundle Name can be re-used between different projects, using this you can create cross project bundles. Every project admin (or configuration manager) sets up his own bundle and bundle content using the same bundle name. If you query issues in the bundle using fixedInBundle("bundleName") or affectsBundle("bundleName") JQL extensions the result will contain all issues across different projects. If you want to visualize all the component versions inside cross project bundle, you can use "Components of Selected Bundles" dashboard item.
