Mentioned Issues Panel

Overview

The Mentioned Issues panel displays issues that reference the current issue within their description, comments, or summary fields. This feature allows users to easily track where an issue has been mentioned across different Jira issues.

How It Works

Automatic Detection:

  1. When an issue key is referenced in another issue's description, comment, or summary, it is automatically considered a mentioned issue.

  2. The Mentioned Issues panel collects and displays all issues that include references to the currently viewed issue.

Display in Issue Panel:

  1. The panel appears in the issue view and presents mentioned issues in a structured table.

  2. The table typically includes fields such as:

    • Issue Key: The key of the issue mentioning the current issue.

    • Summary: A short description of the mentioning issue.

    • Mention Location: Specifies whether the reference is in the description, comment, or summary.
