Timesheet Reports Page
Timesheet approval status and actions can also be accessed on custom timesheet reports provided that:
Date start/end range matches a timesheet period
First level grouping is done by user
Current user has permission to approve timesheet for at least one project. Otherwise, the user will not be able to see the projects.
The current user has Can Approve Permission for at least one project. Otherwise, it is normal for the status button to appear disabled and the status to be shown as “Open.”
At least one user requires timesheet approval
The Reports page offers two different display options:The first is to view the timesheet for a single user; in this case, as shown in the screenshot, the user’s timesheet status is displayed at the top and the statuses of the relevant users are shown in the Status column within the timesheet.
On the Reports page, the Timesheet Approval Status button is enabled if the current user is an admin, is viewing another user’s timesheet, and has Can Approve and Requires Timesheet Approval permissions for at least one project, or if the current user is viewing their own timesheet and has Requires Timesheet Approval permission.
The second option is to view timesheets by selecting multiple users or teams; in this case, the statuses of the relevant users are shown in the Status column within the timesheet.
Additionally, if the user reviewing the timesheets has the “Can Approve” permission, they can also click on the overall timesheet status in the Reports page to access the detailed project statuses and project histories of the relevant user.
If the “Allow edit submitted timesheets” setting is disabled, it is expected that a worklog cannot be added to a submitted project and that an error will occur as a result. For more information about approval settings, you can visit the Timesheet Approvals for Admin page or the Approval Settings page.
