Timesheet Approval Page

Timesheet Approval Page

The Approvals Timesheet page is used to access the timesheets that have been submitted.

  • Period: The section where the relevant date range is selected.

  • Filter By: The section that allows filtering the page according to preference. Options include all, user, project, and team.

When projects are being reviewed, the table has some columns and buttons at the top:

  • Employee: Shows the users who sent the timesheet.

  • Project: Shows the project submitted by the user.

  • Submitted: Indicates when the user submitted the project.

  • Decision: Displays the date when the project was approved or rejected. If revoked, the date information is removed.

  • Status: Shows the current status of the project.

  • Action: Allows approving or rejecting a selected project.

  • Bulk Approve / Bulk Reject: Performs approval or rejection for multiple projects at once. However, the following projects are excluded from this action:

1. Projects with an open status.
2. Projects submitted by the current user if the self-approve feature is not active.
3. Projects that have not been submitted yet.

  • Graph icon (next to Employee and Project fields): Directs the user to the Reports section and displays the project worklog records.

  • Clock icon (next to the Status field): Displays the history of the relevant project.

On the Timesheet Approvals page, timesheets can be filtered by user using the Filter By -> User option, allowing access to all projects submitted by the selected user. Additionally, filtering by team with the Filter By -> Team option enables easy access to all users in the selected group, allowing their timesheet statuses to be reviewed. Similarly, filtering by project using the Filter By -> Project option allows quick access to user-based results for a specific project.

For more information about approval settings or permissions, you can visit the Approvals Permission page or the Approval Settings page.

If the approval/rejection comment settings are set as mandatory, a description must be entered in the panel that appears during each action, as shown in the screenshot below. Otherwise, it is normal that the action cannot be completed.

On this page, if the Self-Approve feature is enabled in the Approvals Settings, the current user can approve their own timesheet, and the Approve/Reject buttons will be enabled (FIG.5). If this setting is disabled, as shown in the screenshot below, instead of the Approve/Reject buttons, the message “Self-Approved Not Allowed” will appear in the Actions section.(FIG.6) However, the user can still approve projects for other users; the Self-Approve setting does not affect this.

As also seen in the screenshots below, the timesheet of the relevant person can be accessed from this page via the graph icon (FIG.7), and the project history can be easily accessed via the clock icons (FIG.8).

In the Timesheet Approvals screen, when filtering by team, if you see some users without any information, this is not an error. If a user has not submitted any projects yet (i.e., has not performed any actions), it is normal for them to appear this way in the timesheet approval screen.

Additionally, if a user does not have the Can Approve permission and cannot access any records on the Timesheet Approvals page, they can still filter by themselves using the Filter By -> User option, in which case they will only see projects that contain their own records.
