Timesheet Approval
The Approvals page has been designed to make the timesheet approval process more practical, transparent, and organized. From a single interface, users are able to submit, approve, or reject their timesheets for a selected period, and categorize them by user, project, or team. This reduces the need for manual tracking, ensures that pending approvals are clearly monitored, and provides greater clarity regarding team responsibilities and task distribution.
The primary advantages of this page are the time efficiency and structured tracking it enables. Users may approve or reject multiple projects simultaneously, access reports instantly, and review the complete history of each project.
By default, timesheet approval is disabled. In order to utilize the Timesheet Approvals page, it is necessary to first configure the required permissions on the permissions configuration page and create timesheet periods. For timesheets to be submitted and approved, the relevant period must be selected in advance. Subsequently, based on the worklogs entered within the selected period, projects can be viewed on the Timesheet Approvals page.
As the page is both period-based and project-based, it is mandatory to define which project roles are authorized to approve worklogs and which user groups require timesheet approval.
If the necessary configurations are not in place:
On the Your Work page, the button displaying timesheet status will appear disabled, preventing users from viewing their approval status or submitting their timesheets for approval.
On the Timesheet Approvals page, users will not be able to approve timesheets, as submitted projects will not be visible.
Certain functionalities also depend on the configurations made under the Approval Settings section in administration. More comprehensive information regarding these settings is available on the “Timesheet Approval for Admin” page.
