Log work (WP) Custom Field
Another way of logging work is through the transition screen during an issue transition or on the create issue screen by using the Log Work custom field. If you are using the account and attribute features provided by WorklogPro, you can also specify them when logging work from the create issue or transition screen using this field (for example type of work performed or whether it is billable or not). For information on how to add a custom field to a screen, please review the page Associating a Custom Field with a Screen. If this field is used on a transition screen, ensure that the associated screen is selected for the relevant transition operation(for example: adding this field on resolution transition screen).
Additionally, you can update the remaining estimate while logging work through this field. To add a worklog using this field, the user must have the Work on Issues permission, just as they would when logging work through the standard work logging in Jira. You can view the time tracking configurations page. If you have the “Log Work for Others” project permission provided by WorklogPro, you can add worklogs on behalf of others.
This field is also added to the issue view. In the issue view, it behaves like the time tracking field, displaying worklog entries and remaining estimates as progress—just like Jira’s native Time Tracking field. Clicking on this field opens the Worklog dialog, allowing work to be logged directly from the issue view.
