Limiting Worklog Attribute to Specific Projects or Issue Types

By default all worklog attributes are global. But just like custom fields you can limit their availability to specific projects or issue types. To limit avilability of a worklog attribute click on "Context" link on the actions column. It will open "Context" dialog for worklog attribute. If you don't define any issue type, it is global to all issue types. If you specify any issue types, it is only available to these specified issue types. Project selection is a little more complex. You can define worklog attribute as applicable to all projects and only specify excluded (not applicable) projects, or you can define worlog attribute not available to any project by default and specify only the projects for which worklog attribute is applicable.

There are some things you need to be aware of. We don't automatically delete worklog attributes. So, if you move a worklog from one issue to another all worklog attributes even the ones which are not applicable for target project are moved to new issue. Similarly if you disable an existing worklog attribute from a project or issue type, existing worklogs of those issues will still continue to have those attribute. But for new worklogs those attributes will not be allowed. If you try to edit an existing worklog, the attribute will still be available too.
