Matrix
The matrix view provides a quadrant-based classification system designed to organize Jira work items (issues) and private tasks based on their urgency and importance attributes. This view serves as both a visualization tool and a bulk-editor, allowing users to rapidly assign priority states to work items.
Search & Filtering Options: This toolbar allows you to refine which tasks appear in your Matrix view:
Basic / JQL Toggle:
Basic: Search for tasks by typing keywords found in the Jira work item summary and key or private task title.
JQL: Switch to JQL (Jira Query Language) mode to run advanced queries and filter specific Jira work items.
Work Filter: Use the dropdown on the far right to toggle between showing Jira work items, private tasks, or both.
Each of the four Matrix quadrants
Quadrant Name - This name is used across the Inbox, Actions, and Agenda views
Quadrant Description
Each quadrant has a default name, description, and color, but these can be changed. The default configurations are as follows:
