Component attributes Attributes allow you to attach extra information to Jira Components, versions and projects. They are very similar to Issue Custom fields, but for components, versions and project instead of issues. First you need to define which component attributes are available and in which context they are applicable. This requires Jira administrator privilege. To manage them, navigate to “Manage apps/Configuration Management Toolkit/Component Attributes.”

After defining available component attributes, you can associate these attributes to components, version and project from the project page.
